Just one week from now, in celebration of Andrzej Wajda Year 2026, WAJDA GENERATION will be presented in Los Angeles by the Andrzej Wajda Film Culture Centre in collaboration with the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures. The program will feature three films directed by Agnieszka Holland, as well as Korczak, directed by Andrzej Wajda from her screenplay.

The Academy Museum is the world’s largest museum dedicated to the art, science, and artists of filmmaking. The screenings will take place from July 31 through August 2, 2026.

WAJDA GENERATION is a project initiated by the Andrzej Wajda Film Culture Centre to commemorate Andrzej Wajda Year 2026.

Its purpose is to present the cinema of Wajda and his generation as a dialogue—between filmmakers, between Polish and international cinema, and between the past and the present. Agnieszka Holland is a central figure in this project, bringing together Andrzej Wajda’s legacy and her own fully independent artistic voice—one of the most distinctive and courageous voices in European cinema in recent decades.
